Tools: Pando

Pando is an excellent representative of a niche genre of software called tiny apps. It has a very small install (under 2Mb), and it operates practically invisibly.

But what does it do?

Oh, right. Well, it lets you send and receive file attachments up to 1Gb (that's effing huge in strict mathematical terms). And the best part is that you can send files to any existing email address. The recipient will have to install the Pando software (only once), but once they have it, you can exchange oversize files ad infinitum.

So what would I use this for?

Well, that depends. If you need to transfer files from your computer at home to your computer at work - or vice versa - you could use Pando. Or if you edited a home movie and wanted to send it to family members - presto, Pando.

Want to share some of your personal music library with a friend? You're unethical! I can't endorse that. But you can use Pando to do it.

The uses for an app like this are limited only by your imagination. It's practical, simple, and effective.

Ah! And did I forget to mention it's free? Yeah. It's free. Give it a try.
